Fondly remembered as the Florida pop-punk band that took the world to Ocean Avenue, Yellowcard is back and better than ever. The title track of their newest album, Better Days, just became their very first No. 1 at alternative rock radio. They also just set the record for the biggest gap between any artist’s first appearance on the same chart and their respective No. 1 entry. But after a long hiatus, the band is ready to break more records, bring more music, and see more fans. Frontman Ryan Key shared how the band feels, saying, “We are completely blown away by basically everything that is happening in our lives right now.” The positive response to their comeback has truly been great, and the band is very grateful. Key puts their feelings in a nutshell: “I’ve never seen people react to music from Yellowcard like they are right now. … We didn’t know we were going to make this album, but [the reaction] has really made this record an extremely special event for us personally. And I think that is naturally going to translate to fans.” Now, they’re gearing up for a great summer as they go on their Up Up Down Down Tour!

Yellowcard’s members formed the band after they met at the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts. The band got their name from the “yellow card” given to anyone who does a “party foul”. Their most notable hit song and album, both named Ocean Avenue, have been certified double platinum and platinum in the country by the Recording Industry Association of America, or RIAA. Music enthusiasts will also remember Only One and Lights and Sounds which also became certified gold.  Since the band’s establishment in 1997, they have experienced changes in their lineup, but those changes and their nine-year hiatus cannot stop them from making more hits. The band has since collaborated with Avril Lavigne, Travis Barker, and many more notable artists who share the same passion for the genre, making their latest music the most sensational tracks they have ever released.

Yellowcard will be sharing the stage with fellow punk rock band New Found Glory from Florida. Known for being one of the top influential easycore subgenre bands, they have recorded a total of twelve studio albums, one live album, four cover albums, and two EPs. Being labeled as the “Godfathers of Pop Punk”, they are officially Coming Home to the big stages alongside Yellowcard and Plain White T’s.

Plain White T’s

Another band is joining Yellowcard and New Found Glory on this tour, and it is American pop rock band Plain White T’s inviting everyone to Come On Over! They’re ready to greet everyone with a Hey There Delilah as they serenade the crowd with A Whole New Sound. Don’t miss their soulful performances when they go on stage to perform their best hits!
